Team Up for a Day Outdoors!
Looking for a unique and rewarding team-building experience? Step out of the office and into the fresh air with Chichester Harbour Conservancy’s Ranger Team! Get your hands dirty, work together, and make a real impact helping to protect and maintain one of the South Coast’s most beautiful natural spaces.
Why volunteer in Chichester Harbour
Chichester Harbour National Landscape is one of the smallest of the 46 National Landscapes in the UK. However, our 74 square mile area includes 29 sq miles of water, 63 miles of footpaths, 10 different types of habitat and is a haven for protected birds and wildlife. We rely on the support of our partners, local communities and volunteers.
Why choose a team volunteering event?
- Great for Team Bonding – Strengthen teamwork and communication in a fun, hands-on setting.
- Make a Difference – Help preserve Chichester Harbour’s stunning landscapes and wildlife.
- Enjoy the Outdoors – Swap the office for fresh sea air and beautiful scenery!
Pick your challenge
Habitat Heroes – Join our rangers in managing vital habitats by clearing scrub, maintaining footpaths, and improving spaces for both nature and visitors.
Beach Clean Champions – Work together to clear litter and plastic from our coastline while learning about marine conservation.
Cycle Route Crew – Help maintain the popular Salterns Way cycle path, keeping it safe and accessible for all by trimming hedges, fixing gates, and clearing the way.

What to expect
Come ready to carry out some physical work (adaptable to delegate needs). Participants should wear suitable clothing for the weather and the activity. We provide all the necessary gear, including gloves, helmets, goggles, tools, hot drinks and biscuits —just bring your team spirit and enthusiasm!
Bespoke events from £300 for a half day volunteering activity for 15 people.
Extend your visit – make a day of it
Why not extend your volunteering activity to a full away day. We offer a variety of options including:
Hold an off-site team meeting: Our picturesque countryside meeting space, at Eames Farm on Thorney Island (pictured right), is a great location for team meetings or staff training.
Add on a boat trip: Take the team on a harbour adventure onboard our solar powered tour boat, Solar Heritage. Solar Heritage is fully-accessible and open-sided with a large stable deck so you can move around and enjoy superb panoramic harbour views. It’s a great backdrop for a group experience, whether for social and business purposes.
