Looking for an enjoyable and fulfilling volunteering opportunity?

If you enjoy working with young people and spending time outdoors, this could be the volunteering role for you…

We have vacancies for new volunteers to join our Volunteer Education Team, based at our Dell Quay Education Centre.

Volunteering with us

Volunteering  involves working alongside our teaching team,  supporting groups of young people visiting Chichester Harbour for field trips or activity events .

Volunteers have the opportunity to lead small groups in outdoor activities, working with age groups from Primary School upwards.

Our Education Team Volunteers are required mainly during term time and most help is needed in the summer and early autumn.

Volunteering hours are from 9.30am – 3.30pm.

The work is mainly outdoor and involves standing, walking and carrying equipment so fitness is important.

Volunteers need to be able to commit to 3 days per month or more in our busy times!

About You

You will enjoy and have experience of working with young people. Lots of our volunteers are retired teachers but that is not essential.  Specialist skills including art, photography, conservation or nature knowledge are desirable.
You will be enthusiastic, a team player and willing to learn. Full volunteer training will be provided.

If you are interested in joining our friendly and supportive team, and would like to know more, please contact: Jane.Latawski@conservancy.co.uk
