Being out on the water is one of the most popular ways to enjoy Chichester Harbour. 11 square miles of water, 17 miles of well-marked and lit channels and easy access to the Solent, make the harbour an ideal water recreation centre.
The harbour shoreline is dotted with picturesque villages and towns accessible by boat. It is home to more than 9,000 vessels, over 3,000 moorings, 2,000 berths, six marinas and 14 Sailing club. The sheltered waters also make the harbour a popular location for many water sports from rowing, canoeing and paddleboarding to wing foiling.
New for the 2025 season, the jetty at Itchenor has been extended and upgraded to improve facilities for local and visiting harbour users. New walk ashore berthing for overnight stays and short stay berthing for day visitors make it easy for everyone to visit the harbour whether you are staying overnight or just stopping for lunch.
