Welcome to Chichester Harbour National Landscape

Designated in 1964, in recognition of its national importance, Chichester Harbour is quite rightly one of our 34 English National Landscapes. It is internationally important for its habitats, wildlife, and it’s sailing and boating.

Chichester Harbour Conservancy is a unique organisation that is the only Statutory Harbour Authority with responsibility for a National Landscape.

Our focus is on nature restoration, addressing the threats of sea level rise and climate change, access for all across the land and water, working with our harbour communities, and managing the landscape so that it is protected for the benefit of future generations.

We are currently consulting on our new 5-year Management Plan for Chichester Harbour National Landscape – discover what’s planned and share your views here.
