Lead Harbour Technician

Full Time: Monday- Friday (with some weekend working during the summer season as required)

We are seeking a motivated and capable person for the role of Lead Harbour Technician, heading up our workshop team.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience of marine engineering and working in the marine sector. Knowledge of the servicing, maintenance and use of marine vessels, outboard engines, small plant is essential.

The role is varied and as the principle skipper of the mooring barge you will be responsible for  the maintenance, repair and replacement of navigational marks, lights, moorings, harbour equipment, vessels, vehicles and infrastructure.

You will need to demonstrate good team working experience and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. The ability to establish good working relationships with a range of people, including the public and external partners is important.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our committed team and be part of an organisation looking after one of the largest recreational harbours in the UK and the only UK Harbour Authority responsible for the management of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The role of Lead Harbour Technician is based at our Harbour Office in Itchenor, West Sussex.
